Aard is the name of the world on which most events of my campaigns and adventures take place. As with most fantasy worlds, it resembles our Earth a lot, mostly as convenience.
At a glance
- World of a thousand islands. The Rupture split the once single massive continent in many islands.
World of many settings
Having many different island, lets me experiment with different themes and settings more easily. Instead of coming up with new worlds, I can just create a new island.

History

The history of Aard can be summarized into three major ages: The Dawn, Age of Strife and Age of Renaissance. A profound break in its history marks the Rupture - a monumental world shaking event, that changed Aard.

The Aardian year last 364 days over the course of 13 months. A day is 24 hours in length. A month consists of 28 of these days, divided into 4 weeks with 7 days each.

Also known as the Ironland, is an island far up in the north. The people still stick to old traditions and were long isolated from the rest of the world.
