The Aardian year last 364 days over the course of 13 months. A day is 24 hours in length. A month consists of 28 of these days, divided into 4 weeks with 7 days each.

Days in the months are not directly numbered, but are addressed by their ordinal number as they occur within the month and their name. So for example first Choresday, second Washday, third Firstday or fourth Fireday.

Even though many islands have created their own culture, most of them adhere to a similar calendar and for ease of purpose we assume that everyone uses the same calendar. Most modern calendars count the years starting with the year 0 AR (After Rupture).
